Dr Kirsten O’Loughlin
Osteopath
B.Sc. (Osteopathy)/M.H.Sc. (Osteopathy)
Kirsten is an AHPRA registered practitioner and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Science and Master’s degree in Osteopathy at Victoria University. Prior to this she studied a Health Science degree at Deakin University majoring in Nutrition and Exercise Science.
What drew Kirsten to the Osteopathy profession was the holistic approach to treatment and the patient centred care. She loves that she can facilitate someone’s wellbeing by encouraging their bodies healing process. This shows in the way she treats, offering a range of techniques to relieve pain symptoms including soft tissue massage, manipulation, articulation, dry needling and cupping.
It was her own practice and love of Pilates which pushed her to complete studies in Clinical and Rehabilitation Pilates. Kirsten loves to complement her hands on treatment with individualised rehabilitation programs suited towards each patients’ goals. Other areas of further study include soft-tissue injury rehabilitation, lower limb tendinopathy management, pain science and the osteopathic approach to endometriosis, PCOS and fibroids.
Kirsten is a very open and warm Osteopath who enjoys getting to know her patients and motivating them to take an active role in their health and wellbeing. Outside of work, you’ll find her keeping active – from Pilates to running, heading to live sport and gigs, travelling and reading.
